Karada Sagashi revolves around a high school with a school legend. According to the legend, if you stay in the school after dark, you may meet the "Red Person", be cursed and torn into eight pieces.
Nonetheless, the cursed person will show up in school intact the next day. Devoid of any emotions, she will choose 6 students and ask them to help her find pieces of her body. Those invited cannot reject this request. At midnight, they will be teleport back to school and forced to search for the body parts of the cursed person, hidden at different locales inside. Obviously, the task will not be easy. The "Red Person" will appear and try to kill the participants. Nonetheless, death will not end the game. Whenever everyone died, and that all the body parts were not found, they will be revived back to the previous day with their memory intact, the game than started again that night.
The story follows 3 boys and 3 girls who were invited to the game by their friend, "Haruka".
The story is interesting, straightforward and easy to understand. However, what is amazing about the manga adaption is the artwork. It is simply amazing. In fact, it may be too successful that I will not recommended it for those who has a weak stomach.
You can read the official Japanese raws for free here on Shonen Jump Plus. Apparently, the manga is quite successful, as of september 2016, it had sold 1 million volumes! Quite an accomplishment for this genre.
